The Palestinians are pawns.

They are paying the price for dysfunctional and broken Arab world leaders. As long as focus is directed outward, they are safe from real insurrection.

The Arab Spring as had little effect, sad to say and the Arab world leaders are ferociously trying to turn the focus outward again.

The PA and Hamas leadership has benefited greatly (cash) from leaders looking to keep the conflict fresh.

Arafat stole billions, remember?

They have to look inward. They have to realize that moderation is the best opportunity here. They can no longer afford to be led by para militants and army men. And it’s silly for many of them to want war. It’s like sending a battalion into a rock fight. Snark aside but they have to change from within.
