Of course it’s legitimate for debate/discussion, but the point isn’t the conversation. It’s about living with the law, and acting upon the law as it is not as we wish it was. Have the stones to live with the tough calls. The ones that we don’t like. It’s ridiculously easy to live with the decisions that go our way.

Present company excluded-My impression is a great deal of the criticism is nothing more than partisan sour grapes. Losers whining. Like after Roe V Wade. Wah, wah, waaah. IMO-Dred Scott does nothing to undermine the rulings on medical reform or the 2nd. Given Scalias admission/encouragement to well regulate the guns, I think it’s one of the best decisions, as are all the affirmative decisions on the bill of rights and how it plays out as technology changes. Every right we have is far more powerful than in the founders day. I’m not sorry about that one darn bit.
