After re-watching the Loving documentary, man what I wouldn’t give for another Earl Warren. Someone not afraid to call out bigots on their shit. Honestly, I wouldn’t complain if Clinton nominated someone who derides conservative judicial views the same way Scalia always did to the liberal one. Another William Douglas type I guess? Either way, they really fucked up with this and it’s going to cost them big down the road on the judiciary.

Maybe someone like Erwin Chemerinski? Though I doubt he’d be as snarky as Scalia tended to be. Also, it’d be fun to watch Hewitt squirm on TV when a liberal that he counts as a friend gets nominated for the Supreme Court.
