Because the system was designed to handle that level of cases (and millions of cases are preventable or minimized with mandatory vaccinations, but that’s a gripe for another time), and covid19 is adding to that and because it’s a novel disease - NO ONE has immunity and the kinds of cases requiring hospitalization are more severe and are taking longer to resolve.

You know, I’d trust the health experts over propagandists like her.
