OT: I liked my original car loan company, but, as these companies often do, they sold the loan to another company I am not very fond of.

This new company charges me a >NINE DOLLAR fee to make a payment either online or the phone, the only way I can avoid the fee is by sending a check or money order.

So screw that, I’ll be paying this loan off with cashier’s checks as long as I can.

Is it the company or Western Union (or a company like them) who is charging? Everytime money changes hands, someone wants a cut. If they have to utilize a 3rd party to transfer funds —then there will be a charge.
