Really Trump to me is the ultimate example of the rich asshole who only gives a fuck about himself. I just don’t get how he’s become the working class’s hero. Then again, a lot of these working class whites especially have their own resentments that have nothing to do with economics that Trump exploited perfectly.

They hate politicians and politics as usual. Trump sold himself as the ultimate outsider and anti-politician, and that allowed him to ignore or violate nearly every rule and convention of politics and campaigning and still prevail.
