The Trump election doesn’t change us. It just shows that our appraisal of ourselves after the Obama elections was over-optimistic.

And I would say add to that we underestimated our sheer gullibility in the face of such a slick rich con man. But with a little hindsight, infomercials and mega church prosperity preaching should have been the warnings this would, not just could happen. Self inflicted.
