I agree with Allegro, and with Cheechako (a piece quoted here):

The hearings would be in the initial playbook of impeachment anyway.
Keep investigating. Get more of the facts out there.
Let the GOP threatened plan to refuse to comply with subpoenas play out.

Jumping into impeachment now because it “is the right thing to do” is blindly following the rules while our despicable and dangerous opponents cheat and step on Constitutional norms so win.

The point is to stress the extent to which the GOP is actively complicit in these High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
