Yeah, nuclear war… won’t be pretty.

I just get the feeling that Biden is trying to be what a young Lincoln was.

Lincoln knew slavery was wrong but he wasn’t going to try and outlaw it across the nation.

Only when there simply wasn’t any other option did Lincoln go for the Emancipation Proclamation.

Biden thinks he can good-ol-boy the Senate into an agreement that won’t make the Senate go nuclear (in his case that’s a metaphor.)

There’s a pretty good argument to be made that Lincoln should have done a lot more to shut down and clean out the remnants of the Confederate South.

We’re still dealing with that more than two centuries later.
