Senate Backs Digital Delay Bill

As expected, the U.S. Senate on Monday voted unanimously in favor of a bill that will postpone the broadcaset TV digital transition for about four months, from February 17 to June 12, 2009.

But we not stoopid as they thunk.

“Consumer awareness of the digital television transition is at an all time high, but many over-the-air households are slow to take the steps necessary to continue to view television when analog signals cease,” according to a report from the Association of Public Television Stations.
