I’ve been having some very serious problems with mail delivery for a couple of weeks now and I was wondering if any other Lizardoids had had similar experiences.

I was planning to move and mentioned this to my mail carrier two weeks ago Friday. At the same time, I asked for a change of address kit. All mail delivery ceased the very next day even though I did not submit the change of address until the following Thursday, almost a week later. I am told that forwarded mail does not start for 7-10 postal business days (effectively 2 weeks in real world time) after the request is submitted but this does not explain why my service stopped almost a week before that.

I have not received so much as a junk flyer for the old address in almost two weeks and there has not been enough time for the forwarded mail to get here, even though it is the same zip code and less than a mile away. It doesn’t help that the carrier station in this area does not have a working telephone, or at least not one with a publicly listed number. I contacted the postal inspectors Monday but have not heard from them yet.
