It’s not a smear to say that conflating every mosque with the actions of Islamist terrorists is simpleminded prejudice.

Nor is it phobic to be suspicious, considering that there have been numerous terror plots originating in mosques in the west ( inclusive of the US), when numerous Islamic “charities” have been raided by the FBI and board members tried and convicted on terrorism charges, when the most prominent muslim organizations ( ie. CAIR) have been named unindicted co-conspirators in terror cases and have had members imprisoned on terror charges….then such suspicions are not phobic.

That being said, the firebombing of a mosque or other acts of violence should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
