Do you have the Adobe Flash stuff turned off? That’s a resource pig. And even then with my old laptop I do have memory issues trying to run Chrome or Firefox. And I have not found a browser yet either that doesn’t gobble up at least half of my memory upon starting it up.

And given that iTunes is also a resource hog I have found that I can’t run both it and a browser at the same time without the sound stuttering or the browser taking a massive amount of time to load a page.

Flash needs to die a fiery death.

I stopped using iTunes simply because it’s bloatware. Maybe now that I have a system with 8GB, it will be usable, but I’m in no hurry to find out.
