“No, I never poisoned Rosamund. Oh, I prayed for her to drop, and smiled a little when she did.”

I know there are those who will call us ghouls for wishing him ill - most of them will have cheered each bit of bad health news about RBG - but I don’t think it’s possible to overestimate the corrosive effect of Limbaugh on America. He made it okay for the Right to indulge all their worst thoughts and feelings, and unlike a lot of extremist media types, he did it without appearing to be batshit crazy - a glib and humorous propagandist.

One conservative i knew said he’d first heard Rush while driving through Sacramento, and immediately thought, “He thinks just like me!” He and Gingrich taught the Right that they could get away with shameless lying, as long as they truly were shameless. Which of course paved the way for the most brazen and shameless liar of all.

he was never an honest broker, so i treat him as a crackpot.
he’s an unabashed and unrepentant liar. He won’t be able to lie much longer.

if i said i dont give a damn that he’s ill that would be way more interest and attention than i have.

i dont know how many people were actively pricking voodoo dolls yesterday - those people i’d say wished him ill.

i wonder if it’s not so much wishing him ill as not being all that bothered that he is.
