His film Religulous was pretty ridiculous. Well, I’m exaggerating, but it was an extremely uninspired (heh) documentary. One could imagine a smarter, more boisterous manifesto of anticlericalism. Voltaire he is not.

You know the best thing about Maher. He too is one vote.

I don’t worry too much about his viewers and if they will follow him in his thinking. They may be too libertarian to actually leave the house to vote.

And regarding everyone debating about the Pope. I would expect him to say what he did about the Paris CH terror attack. He is the head of a religion, so he protects his own.

I also expect the birth control BS out of him too.

But, I will take any positive stuff he can help out on too, like global warming, social issues like wealth, etc.

I tend to be very pragmatic. I’ll take what I can get from one person, and take what I can from another, skip the BS from both and hope there is enough positive to overcome the negative in ALL the issues.

The larger battle to humans may well be the climate issues. If no one is around there will be no need for birth control or critical comedic attacks on untouchable entities. If we can go on a a species we can continue to fight the other stuff.
