That makes the assumption that young people who don’t vote will vote Democratic in the same proportion as those who are motivated to vote. I wish I believed that was true.

Young people aren’t any less susceptible to propaganda, misinformation, or simply being nihilistic arseholes than older people. The means by which they get radicalised is different, but young voters aren’t going to save this country any more than Hispanic or Asian ones will. After all, Republicans have been fascists now for nearly 40 years, if not longer. Whole generations have grown up with this. And yet, the generation that most reliably votes fascist isn’t boomers, but Gen X.

But the demographic makeup of young people today is much less white than previous generations, which is a problem for the party of white nationalism.
