Yes, those CFL’s are made there, and if you want to open a factory there you have to do your R&D there too. That way they can copy your stuff really efficiently.

BTW why is it Steve Jobs and his company gets a full pass on working conditions for all his oh so cool gadgets made for the cool kidz, but clothing makers get excoriated by the retailers who sell them and by the press?

It seems Apple has enough teflon to take the heat for any issue, including heavy handed security that includes the US Secret Service on call.
