I really only ever watch TV when I’m on the road, or for live sport. And I’m even cooling on the latter unless it’s a social event.

My reaction to “average TV watching hours” stats is always astonishment that anyone could have that much time in their day, let alone the outliers.

It depends on the definition of “watch”, I suppose. My wife and I have the TV on practically the whole time we’re awake. As far as actually watching it, though, it amounts to maybe a couple of hours per day.
