The fastest I ever had my Smart was 95 mph, the very first time I drove it (on I-76 near Sterling, Colo). I was unused to our new car, and damn, I didn’t know the tiny little 1 litre 3 bannger could go that fast.

It’s not the raw horsepower, it’s the power-to-weight ratio. Friend of mine drives a souped-up (turbocharged) Smart car. It may be an accident trying to happen, but man, can it fly.
