I’m confused. Were we the trolls in this scenario?

Talking in general about groups like AQ, ISIL etc who can keep bombing and killing and killing and killing, and you can compare that to the pathological trolls on the web who stalk women and post revenge porn or photoshopped porn (sometimes for years) for lulz.

Groups and people who do this sort of thing can escalate outrages past your ability to ignore or refusal to engage….and AQ was determined to make this into a paradigm about Islam vs western modernity. I figured they succeed eventually when they got the body count high enough…even if most of the rest of Islam and the world at large didn’t want that.
