Corporations are not people. They can be legal persons in a court of law, but limited-liability corporations exist because the government put a set of laws in place that allow them to exist in the form that they do.
But you hit on a point: people who attend private schools and country clubs have little use for public school, parks or swimming pools.
Right, I remember a neighborhood friend’s brother who attended parochial school bellyaching about his parents tax monies going to the public schools. Public education is a so called public good. I don’t have the stats handy but I imagine a vast majority of American school children do attend public schools.
