Nope…nothing there, nothing to hide…everyone knows this is just Trump.

I hope CBS shows it no matter what Trump’s lawyers try to pull.

However, I await the outrage from the wingnuts about stopping CBS’s 1A rights.

I just wonder how long I’ll be waiting. I think I know.

I’m thinking we may have a prior restraint issue here. Courts tend to be REALLY leery of injunctions that amount to prior restraint. In this issue, we don’t have a national security issue or obscenity problem, which are the two areas courts have waded into. The general way courts have handled attempted prior restraint is to smack it down and then say, “We’ll talk about damages later.” And Trump’s attorneys know damned good and well that Trump is a public figure so would have to meet a higher standard for libel.

So yeah, try to get a court to shut this down. Just means more people will tune in to 60 Minutes.

ETA: Got to mention this as well. The only action that can really be taken is against Stormy Daniels. CBS is not a partner to whatever agreement was signed. Trump and his lawyers have to go after Daniels. But just the fact that Trump’s lawyers are going after her makes the interview newsworthy and difficult, if not impossible to suppress.

Good God, but Trump is surrounded by idiots.
