George Romney was a good governor of Michigan and a good person. As governor of Massachusetts, his son successfully implemented a statewide health care plan that was the template for the ACA. The question is why would a man with serious political credentials, in his first year of office as a Senator, who has wealth that insulates him from any politically motivated financial attacks, why would this man behave in such a craven fashion.

Would it be possible that he believes Pence will be either Agnewed or Trumped and that he could assume the role as Trump’s VP — i.e. Trump’s Ford? And then make sure Trump is pushed out so that he could assume the office he’s wanted his entire life? I just cannot figure out any other reasonable motivation for his behavior in office.

Or, he’s contemplating another run at the Presidency in an election, and Mr 47% and Self-Deport needs to maintain the racist conservative base voters.

Romney is a racist too and that Self-Deport comment in his campaign showed it.
