I was just looking at vote totals by state that have been posted on wikipedia, and noticed something interesting. If about half a million people (total) moved to Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota, those four states could potentially become swing states. It’s weird how 125k is both a lot of people (about 125% of the Cheyenne metro area) and not that much at all (less than 1% of the Los Angeles metro area).
Someone like Bloomberg could significantly change American politics simply by opening high tech centers in a handful of low population red states.
