Like as in the past the recovery will be despite rather than because of DC. DC can ease the pain, but not really fix the problem. Like the flu.

Took the words right out of my mouth. In relation to the economy, I always felt the president was like an NFL quarterback, too much credit when things are going well and too much blame when things are going poorly.
