Why do people have assholes on their FaceBook? (alt: Why do people have FaceBook?)

The question I have, for myself as well as others, is do I let the retro-atavists alone on my Facebook timeline, or do I interact with them.

I finally decided that I should intermittently interact with them.

Some have unfriended me in the Trump era. Some have not.
