I abandoned my belief in polls well before 2016; the night of the election before the polls closed, I suffered a major panic attack about the outcome. I was not yet a member of the LGF family but read the posts throughout the year and everyone — except PLL — was confident about the results.

Until the votes are actually counted and it is clear that Newsom has won, I will hold my breath (metaphorically). My personal conviction is that it has been impossible to get a solid unbiased poll for years and there have been no recent advances in polling technology to change my mind. Democrats who were annoyed with Newsom and have not seen the recently unearthed Elder videos may indeed have voted to throw him out because of minor infractions (like the 2020 dinner) before they understood the true consequences of their actions. And let’s not forget that the GOP is big on cheating in elections.
