Thousands of protesters show up all the time - like in Wisconsin recently, or the teabag rallies in Washington last year - they’re not a threat to national security. Two or three thousand people standing on the border of Israel are NOT a threat to Israel’s existence. Hell, 10 or 20 thousand people wouldn’t be a ‘threat’ to a whole country. Let them chant for six or eight hours and go home…no harm done.

If they’re armed, then they’re not protesters, they’re militants. Then all bets are off.

If they had stayed on the land opposite the border and not crossed in mass, then I’m sure there would have been no attempts by Israeli defence forces to disperse.
