Many years ago I went bow hunting with my uncle and his friends in Oregon. One morning we’re out and his friend sets up, getting ready to take a buck. He pulls back, holds, aims carefully, and then the string broke … the bow just destroyed itself, all that energy just released in a blur of chaos, shit flew every which way. It was spectacular.

I’m not a big fan of recreational bow hunting, I think it can be unnecessarily messy. However, I figure as a survival tool it should be just fine. Repairing a bow is probably a hell of a lot easier than repairing a gun, ammo can be reused or even home made.
