Heh. I’ve read the Jefferson Bible. It’s pretty short. No Old Testament, and all of the supernatural elements have been eliminated from his New Testament.
And it ends with Jesus (a.s.) being laid in the tomb. No resurrection in Jefferson’s bible.
Live with that, wingnuts.
I believe Barton’s excuse is he did that to make the Bible easier to understand for the Natives. Because you know Native American religious mythology has no supernatural in it at all. Jefferson if he opened his mouth on religion would be despised by many people who claim to speak for him.
