Already answered but I wanted to say I doubt that happens. Roberts is a strong believer in the independence of the Courts and as Chief Justice and thus head of the nation’s judicial branch he has to be deeply pissed off by Trump’s attacks. I also doubt Kennedy would go along with Trump on this but IMHO Roberts has the most reason to be personally and institutionally offended.

Good point about Roberts. I see Roberts as a tool who will do just as much as he possibly can for the RWNJ agenda without completely destroying SCOTUS’ reputation. Kicking Trump’s ass in court would be an easy and entertaining way to help the court’s reputation.
