Right, at this point the evidence has grown so conclusive that there was some level of collusion between the Russian gov’t and the Trump campaign (directly or indirectly) that the GOP knows Mueller’s final report will be impossible to just drop down a bottomless pit.

So the only option at this point is to destroy Mueller’s credibility before he ever issues that report, with the possible hope of creating just enough of a cover for Trump firing him.

I am starting to think that there are going to be a bunch of Republican’s caught up in this mess and that’s why some of this is happening. Trump and his crooked crew is one thing. But if we start to see other GOPers getting caught up, we’ll see an all out protectionistic response from all GOPers.
