We went to see them blow up the balloons for the Macy’s parade last night. Oy.

We exited the subway at the Museum of Natural History (78th Street and Central Park West), at which point we had to walk up to 82nd Street and head west to Columbus Avenue, and then walk south to 76th Street, and then east back to Central Park West for final approach - at which point a cop told us that from there it was another hour’s walking, at which point chances were good that they’d end the whole thing and tell everyone to go home.

And it was fucking cold. And windy.

So we bailed and caught an Uber to an Italian joint on Columbus and I had a Bolognese to die for, then across the street to a bar full of rude, drunken millenials doing bad karaoke for a beer and to watch the end of the Knicks game. And about halfway through the beer, the caravan of floats came up the street and swung around for assembly for the parade.

And after finishing our drinks, we walked back to the subway, where I finally got some balloon pics!
