Maybe. But part of me thinks that he should be executed before he finds redemption in his own mind. This we he’ll know what it’s like to die with what he has done fresh in his mind.
I have a hard time embracing the death penalty. I’m fairly sure this guy was not deterred by any threat of being put to death for his crimes. And that guy is really messed up. He needs to forevermore be kept away from society, but I think that is enough.
