GWB didn’t seem to have much of a shot until he picked Dick Cheney as his running mate. Maybe Mitt will follow that lead and ask David Petraeus.

Mittens needs a raving lunatic wingnut as a Veep in order to even hope to get the base on his side, but at the same time, he needs a woman and/or a minority candidate to try and bridge his poll number deficits with Obama.

It will be interesting to see who he picks.
