Their idea of “pure” is scientifically wrong anyway. Even limiting ourselves to European genetics, there were plenty of non-European genes in the mix by the Middle Ages. And claiming to be “pure” German or British, or whatever, is absurd, given changing borders and migration patterns.
It’s one reason I dislike those DNA tests that report you’re 45% German and 25% French, and so on. No. You’re 70% European whose most recent ancestors may have come from what we now call France and Germany.
Genetic purity isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Ask the Hapsburgs.
