The article mentions that Eccleston is considering returning. I couldn’t really blame him for hating the show after having a bad experience with the show-runners, but I had hoped that he would see that The Doctor is more important than he is.

Eccleston was my first Time Lord - I was way late to the party. My wife’s been watching pretty much since the beginning and mocks me for being a Who Noob.
