There are times where it’s okay to look bad. Punching Nazis is one of them.

Obviously not, because the optics of doing so are “bad.” No, we instead need to give the Nazis an open podium up on the stage and treat them as if they are offering a legitimate argument rather than pure lunacy. When they’re blathering about “race traitors” and the “impure,” we’re supposed to nod our heads and then try to act as if they’re not barking mad. That, we’re assured by “serious” folks, will show that Nazism is wrong and “reasonable” people will recognize such and condemn the Nazis.
