Is he popular? Consider, as we say, wrestling is a show where stunt men get to do their own acting, he sure sounds like he’s playing the “lefty” just waiting to be crushed.

He’s still a darling of the “smarks” but the crowds have been booing him pretty solidly lately. That doesn’t mean he isn’t popular - a lot of fans will still boo wrestlers they like out of respect for the heel work they are doing. The guy he’s going against - AJ Styles (who is the dude in the ring) - is also super popular with fans across the spectrum. He’s only been using this gimmick for the last couple of months, so it’s tough to say where it’s going from here.
