Whats everyone Opinion on the Boston Mayor denying the PD to use the 200 M16’s given by the US army to the City? Sure they likely aren’t needed for patrols but if the incident in Cali when the bank robbers used vests and assault weapons and had the Police force outgunned taught us anything its that Police Officers should be qualified to use said weapons and should have some in the station to reply to such an incident until SWAT can be mobilized. From the comments I heard from the Mayor he has no problem with SWAT or other special units get the weapons but they already have M16’s and probably M4’s as well with SWAT.
