Had a distant relative (aunt’s by marriage great aunt) who at the age of 75, took a shotgun, shot her husband of 50 years in bed while he slept, wrapped him in a sheet and stuffed him in the basement, then went about her daily routine. They lived in the country, no one around for miles to hear the shot.

A few weeks later, neighbors wondering why they hadn’t seen him went to the house to ask about him. “Oh, I shot the son of a bitch. I had finally taken enough of his shit.”

Courts put her in an institution IIRC.
