I think there are probably a whole bunch of Republicans worried they opened the Pandora’s box of hatred and they can’t get the lid back on. Sucks for them, but they did it to themselves.

They did not just allow it to happen, they promoted and insitutionalized it…their fear of being booed by a few loudmouths at a town hall meeting was enough to make them swallow their own vomit.
