My dogs are both prey driven as well (Jack Russell Terror and an American-English Coonhound). Very well behaved, until there’s a squirrel, rabbit or (gawd forbid) a whitetail deer, then it’s Katie Bar the Doors!

Heck, they go nuts over anything that appears in “their” sky, including low flying planes and helicopters. You should have been here to see them lose their minds the morning a Mylar balloon came floating through…I was afraid the 4-foot fence wasn’t going to be tall enough to forestall the chase.

Twice - once with Zeena when we just got her, and with Rango just the other day, something startled them and they were INSTANTLY the length of the leash away, and straining to run away. Without that leash they’d be 100 yards away in seconds.
