See, this is the sort of overreaction that is so troubling. They appear to have gotten several low-level employees of ACORN in nasty situations - although one office, at least, disputes that and claims they punk’d the filmmakers, a claim that seems to be backed up by a police report - but they in no way connected that behavior with the management of ACORN itself, which is what would be needed to justify your statement and to aid in dismantling the organization.

It’s an unpleasant rush to judgment, no different from the Left’s histrionics over the photos from Abu Ghraib and their insistence that this proved Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld personally colluded in those odious events.

She might claim to have punked the filmakers but if you buy that I am surprised. Clearly she was trying to build street cred with these two. She is as flaky as an apple turnover. I think it goes to the heart of ACORN’s hiring practices.

There is enough dirt about ACORN floating around without these videos. The videos are going to force the authorities to take complaints against ACORN seriously.

And if there are gaps in the tape where the ACORN people said, “This is highly illegal activity and I can’t believe you are asking us to help you import 12 underage sex slaves” it will all come out in court.
