Thing is, Booker is as classic a conservative as can be found in American politics today. The vast majority of republicans, and even people like Chris Christie - are not conservative. They’re a mash-up of right wing reactionaries(the majority), fascists and anarchists.
Which is why the a right wing tabloid needs to pretend that a police report is required to confirm Booker’s story - a form of ‘logic’ that only a wingnut could justify.

You’re right. They are reactionary. It’s a much better description than conservative at this point.
