The Tea Party leaders don’t know a damn thing about drilling. It’s not like we can simply start building rigs and planting them all over the place. You need geologists, chemists, engineers, planning, and a geological area where hydrocarbons can be found to be accessible.

It takes time to map out the well sites. Time more to plan out the needed rig and directional drilling gear. Then there’s housing, cement, drilling mud, heavy equipment, construction, etc, etc, etc, etc all before the first drill bit makes the initial well bore. Followed by stabbing in the piping and cementing so the well doesn’t collapse. I’m a stark novice to whole oil industry but I at least know it would take years before we would see a return on any oil or natural gas produced.
