Lovely pictures! I have some with bees and other bugs, but I’ve never taken the time to learn how to compress my images——if that’s the term. I guess there’s too much data because of the high pixel count. Is resolving that really complicated? Helpful hints anybody?

My quick shrinking method for getting the monster jpegs down to a downloadable size is to use a cheap PAINT tool (paint.net also has some basic picture modification options).
1. I crop the picture for content
2. Resize the image by percentage. Most of the ones posted here are approximately 20% of the original image.
“Save as” under a new name. If the size is still too large repeat Step 2.
