The man in question in this case was a soldier and by all accounts he did not act with malicious intent. The weapon he carried was one he wanted to be photographed with at a photo shoot inside the mall. Here’s the updated story.

You’re defending him? The article didn’t say he was an active shooter, you’re totally off point there. What he did scared the hell out of a bunch of people—totally unnecessarily—so much so that stores closed and the cops were called.

Can you honestly say you wouldn’t worry about your own safety or that of others (like maybe your kids) if you saw this man nearby at your local mall? At the very least, he’s an irresponsible douchebag.

The post doesn’t need an update. Its point was not that he was a mass killer, just a stupid dickhead.
