The "Arab plan" would involve the expulsion of the 500,000 Jews living in east Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. While the expulsion of even one Arab for the sake of limiting terrorism is called "collective punishment" and is regarded as a calamity, there is no problem in calling for the expulsion of 500,000 Jews from their homes and communities. The pain that a family feels when it is expelled from home and community is no different if the head of the family is an Arab or is a Jew. This would be a humanitarian disaster.
The lines that Israel would have, along the 1949 Armistice Lines, would give Israel a territorial neck only 9 miles wide. Among Israel's enemies, that would move the project of eliminating Israel from the back burner to the front burner. Just see the statements of Israel's enemies right before the 1967 war, so see how they would salivate.
As for Iran, putting another half million Jews out of eastern Jerusalem, out of Judea, and out of Samaria, and putting them closer to ground zero of the nukes that Iran would use against Tel Aviv and Haifa in their surprise attack against Israel when they have nuclear weapons, would just make Israel a more attractive target for Iranian nukes. Also, it would result in more Israeli casualties from a nuclear attack by Iran.
When Obama spoke before AIPAC, he called for an undivided Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty. But the very next day he took it back. Same with any promises that will be made that this will lead to peace. The day after the ambiguous words -- which will be interpreted by the State Department as promising peace -- are put onto paper, they will be "clarified" so that they don't really mean peace at all. And then Israel will be in a very vulnerable position. It will get international pressure to carry out the shrinkage of Israel, and the expulsion of the 500,000 Jews in eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and will not get anything in return except some lies.
