Sounds like he’s got a bit of an ax to grind with some of his coreligionists.

I did some digging on the author of that article when this page was first posted, but I didn’t bother responding as it is (or rather was) useless with captdiggs.

Most of what’s in my link could be easily verified on my end by simply picking up the phone. The Muslim community in the NYC area is huge, but surprisingly small at the same time (in terms of finding out someone’s history). People move around on the East Coast a lot, so stories about things that happen in NYC, Jersey, Philly, Baltimore, D.C. have legs. Lot’s of ‘em. ;o)
